General Information

When?

Friday, October 3, 2008: 10:00a.m. - 11:00p.m.
Saturday, October 4, 2008: 10:00a.m. - 11:00p.m.

Note:  The Musicarte for Kids Area presented by Devon closes at dusk.  The Exhibiting Artists are allowed to close at 8:00 PM; however, many of the artists will elect to stay open much later to participate in the evening's festivities.

Where?

On Main Street in Downtown Fort Worth between 2nd Street and 5th Street and the Fort Worth Convention Center.

What?

The Southwest's largest Latino festival, two days of fine art, food, fun and festivities!  Features 50 juried artists from around the world, kids’ activities, the music of Tito Puente, Jr. and Grupo Fantasma, the Pavilions de las Américas area and the new Sabor de las Américas, featuring the gastronomy of six countries under the direction of Doña Teresa Ocampo, the "Julia Childs of Peruvian Cuisine!"

Do's and Don't's

  • DO view and buy quality fine art and contemporary craft from 50 juried fine artists.
  • DO stroll through our Musicarte for Kids area presented by Devon, and see our Young People's Art Fair, with many activities for kids.
  • DO enjoy the FREE, live, continuous music on the Sundance Square Stage!
  • DO enjoy the FREE, live, continuous dancing demonstrations and instruction by the Fort Worth Tango Association, Salsa Association and more on the streets throughout the Festival!
  • DO taste the delicacies in the Mercado Central’s “Sabor de las Américas!”
  • DO check out all of downtown's parking options at www.fortworthparking.com
  • DO consider alternative transportation, and do your part for the environment.  Ride the TRE (late night service available on Friday and Saturday all the way back to Dallas), the "T.”
  • DO recycle your cans and bottles at the Festival, and note all of our cups and eating utensils are biodegradable, and will break down after only 45 days in the landfill!
  • DO drive home safely.
  • DO bring your friends and family and have a great time!

  But whatever you do,

  • DON'T bring weapons.
  • DON'T bring coolers or glass containers.
  • DON'T bring skates, skateboards, or in-line skates.
  • DON'T bring pets.
